Is the NDC & AGProtecting Their 🔥🔥🔥 Big Wigs?

From "We Support the OSP" — to killing it quietly when it touched their campaign financier.
2017 – 2018
OSP Created with Full Fanfare
Office of the Special Prosecutor Act (Act 959) passed and celebrated as an independent anti-corruption body. Zero constitutional objections from anyone — including future NDC leaders.
2021 – 2024
OSP Investigates Aggressively — Total Silence
OSP under Kissi Agyebeng pursues high-profile cases. Future AG Dr Dominic Ayine and NDC raise zero alarms about prosecutorial powers. No constitutional concerns. None.
Then the money changes hands
2024 Election Period / May 2025
🚨 Dr Sledge Finances AG Dr Ayine's Campaign — GHC 200,000
Dr Nana Yaw Duodu (Dr Sledge) gives GHC 100,000 in campaign funding plus GHC 100,000 as a congratulatory gift after Ayine's appointment as AG. Dr Ayine publicly admits and defends receiving the funds.
Then OSP does its job
September 30, 2025
🔴 OSP Arrests Dr Sledge — $94M MIIF Gold Scandal
OSP arrests Dr Sledge over suspected corruption in the $94 million MIIF gold trade scandal. Raids follow on his Trassaco residence and Goldridge offices in October. This is the moment everything changes.
Then the machinery activates
December 8 – 11, 2025
🔴 NDC Parliament Tables Bill to FULLY REPEAL the OSP Act
NDC MPs Mahama Ayariga and Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor table a Private Member's Bill to completely abolish the OSP. President Mahama intervenes and orders withdrawal — for optics.

That same week, DAG Dr Justice Srem-Sai publicly announces a constitutional suit filed by Noah Ephraem Tetteh Adamtey (Suit No. J1/3/2026) — a junior lawyer who cut his legal teeth at the DAG's own private law chamber.

🔴 Supreme Court Gags OSP — Barred from Defending Its Own Existence
Supreme Court dismisses OSP's application to join the constitutional suit as a necessary party. The body being dismantled is banned from defending itself in court.

In a striking twist, it was DAG Dr. Justice Srem-Sai himself — the very same official appointed by President Mahama to spearhead the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) anti-corruption initiative — who argued in court against the OSP being allowed to join its own case.

The Supreme Court accepted this argument and ruled accordingly. The result: the institution being challenged was silenced — unable to speak in its own defence — on the motion of the same Deputy AG whose former junior colleague filed the suit in the first place. Legal experts called it a mockery of justice.
Then OSP strikes again
April 7 – 8, 2026
🔴 OSP's Explosive BDC Petroleum Raids
OSP raids major petroleum Bulk Distribution Companies over tax evasion and collusion. Powerful networks feel the fire. What follows is immediate.
April 9 – 10, 2026
🚨 AG Ayine Suddenly "Discovers" OSP Has No Authority
Two days after the BDC raids — and months after OSP began probing his own GHC 200,000 campaign donor — AG Ayine moves to support the Supreme Court challenge and declares OSP powers unconstitutional. He said nothing for years. Until now.
April 15 – 16, 2026
🔴 High Court Strips OSP · AG Takes Full Control of All Cases
High Court rules OSP cannot prosecute independently. All cases transferred to AG's Department. Deputy AG announces full takeover of every investigation the OSP was running — including the Dr Sledge case.

The OSP is neutered. The mission is complete.
🔥 The Killer Question Every Ghanaian Must Ask

Is the NDC & AG Ayine Protecting Their Campaign Donors from Real Investigation?

They couldn't repeal it openly — so they used a proxy (DAG's own former junior), a judicial gag order, and a friendly court. Repeal attempt + proxy suit + Supreme Court gag + sudden "no authority" claim — all triggered only when their own financier was in the crosshairs.

This is not law. This is coordinated protection.

If the OSP is neutered now, the message is clear: finance the right politicians and no investigation can touch you.
